A TextBee alternative with the same API shape

Both tools use an Android phone as an SMS gateway: your software calls an API and the phone sends the text from its SIM card. SMS Gora accepts TextBee’s request shape — recipients and message on the device’s send-sms path, authenticated with the x-api-key header — so existing integrations usually keep working after changing the base URL and key.

What SMS Gora adds

Besides the API, SMS Gora includes a dashboard for bulk SMS campaigns with personalisation and pacing, a two-way inbox, keyword auto-replies, automatic STOP opt-outs, scheduled messages, dual-SIM selection and support for up to 30 phones per account. Plans are priced per phone with unlimited SMS, starting at $3.99/month.

What to check before switching

SMS Gora is a hosted service run by Tekservix, not self-hosted open-source software. Its Android app is installed from tekservix.com rather than Google Play. Received SMS need the Send & receive edition of the app. See the compatibility table for every supported path.

Is SMS Gora compatible with TextBee’s API?

Yes for the common calls: send-sms, send-bulk-sms and get-received-sms on /gateway/devices/{id}/, with the x-api-key header. The /gateway prefix is optional.

Do I need to change my code?

Usually only the base URL, the API key and the device ID. Check the compatibility table in the docs for less common calls.

Is SMS Gora open source or self-hosted?

No. It’s a hosted service by Tekservix — you don’t run a server, and your phones connect to tekservix.com.

How much does SMS Gora cost?

From $3.99/month for one phone with unlimited SMS; bigger plans cover 3, 10 or 30 phones.

Can I keep using the same Android phone?

Yes. Install the SMS Gora app on the same phone; it works alongside your normal messaging app.
