Problems installing?

The common messages, and what to do.

SMS Gora: “App blocked to protect your device” (no Install anyway button)

That is Google’s fraud protection. On some phones and in some countries, Android automatically blocks apps installed from a browser that ask to read incoming SMS. Only the Send & receive edition asks for that. Install the Standard edition instead: it doesn’t ask for it, so it installs normally and sends SMS the same way.

Samsung: “Blocked by Auto Blocker”

Samsung’s Auto Blocker (One UI 6 and newer) blocks every app that doesn’t come from Galaxy Store or Google Play. To install SMS Gora:

  1. Open Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker.
  2. Switch it off, install SMS Gora, then switch it back on if you like. The installed app keeps working.
Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, Oppo, Vivo, Tecno, Infinix: extra security prompts

These phones run their own security scan before installing. Tap Continue / Install anyway (on Xiaomi you may need to wait a few seconds for the button). If Xiaomi asks you to sign in to a Mi account to install, tap the option to continue without it or check Settings → Apps → Manage apps. After installing, allow Autostart and set battery to No restrictions for SMS Gora so it keeps sending in the background.

“Restricted setting” when allowing the SMS permission

Android 13 and newer protect some permissions for apps installed outside Google Play.

  1. Open Settings → Apps → SMS Gora.
  2. Tap ⋮ (top right) → Allow restricted settings and confirm with your PIN or fingerprint.
  3. Go back to SMS Gora and allow the permission again.
“App not installed” or “The package conflicts with an existing package”

An older copy of SMS Gora from somewhere else is on the phone. Uninstall it (long-press the icon → Uninstall), then install the file again. Switching between Standard and Send & receive from tekservix.com never needs this.

“There was a problem parsing the package”

The download was cut off, or the phone runs Android older than 7.0. Delete the file, download it again on Wi-Fi, and check Settings → About phone → Android version.

I don’t see an “Install app” button
  • The app may already be installed: look on your home screen or in the app list.
  • You’re in an in-app browser (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram) or a private window: open the page in Chrome or Safari.
  • Your browser installs from its menu instead: follow the steps for your browser above.
How do the apps update?

The web apps (Tekservix, WApenda, SMS Gora dashboard) update themselves: you always get the latest version when you open them. The SMS Gora Android app shows an Update banner when a new version is out; tap it and install the new file over the old one — your pairing and settings are kept.

How do I uninstall?
  • Android: long-press the icon → Uninstall (or drag it to Uninstall).
  • iPhone / iPad: long-press the icon → Remove App → Delete.
  • Computer: open the app → ⋮ or … menu → Uninstall. On a Mac with Safari, drag it out of the Dock and delete it from your Applications folder.
Are the web apps safe? Do they use storage?

They are the same Tekservix website running in its own window, over HTTPS, with your normal sign-in — nothing extra is installed and they take almost no storage. Pages you opened recently keep working on a weak connection; your account data always loads live.
