SMS Gora for Android

Works on Android 7.0 and newer, single and dual SIM. The app is installed directly from Tekservix (not from Google Play): open the download on your phone, then allow “Install unknown apps” for your browser when Android asks. Choose the standard app to send SMS — it installs on every phone. The Send & receive edition also forwards incoming SMS, but Google Play Protect blocks it on some phones.

An SMS gateway lets software send and receive text messages. An Android SMS gateway does this with an ordinary phone: your website, CRM, shop or server calls a REST API, and the phone sends the SMS from its own SIM card — one-time passwords, order and delivery updates, appointment reminders and alerts — while incoming texts are forwarded back to your server by webhook.

SMS Gora is that gateway, run by Tekservix. Install the app, scan a QR code to link the phone to your account, create an API key and send your first message with one HTTP request. Messages wait in a durable queue while a phone is offline, and every message is logged with its sent, delivered or failed status.

SMS API for developers

Send single or bulk SMS, choose the SIM on dual-SIM phones, schedule messages, list received SMS and subscribe to webhooks for sms.received, sms.sent, sms.delivered, sms.failed and phone status. See the SMS Gora API documentation for cURL, PHP, Node.js and Python examples.

Bulk SMS from your own SIM

Upload a contact list and send personalised bulk SMS with {{name}}-style variables and message variations, at a pace you choose. People who reply STOP are never texted again by your campaigns.

SMS Gora vs. an SMS provider

Bulk SMS providers charge per message and often need sender-ID registration. SMS Gora uses the SIM and SMS bundle you already pay for, so it's ideal for small businesses, developers and local services — especially where operators sell cheap unlimited-SMS bundles. Follow your operator's rules and local law: text only people who expect to hear from you, and don't use it for spam.

Popular ways to use SMS Gora

What do I need?

An Android phone (7.0 or newer) with a SIM card that can send SMS, the SMS Gora app, a Tekservix account and an SMS Gora plan. Keep the phone charged and connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

How much does SMS Gora cost?

Plans start at $3.99 a month for one phone with unlimited SMS; bigger plans cover 3, 10 or 30 phones. See SMS Gora pricing.

Does it work like TextBee?

Yes. Like TextBee, SMS Gora turns an Android phone into an SMS gateway, and it accepts the same request shape (recipients and message on /devices/{id}/send-sms), so most integrations switch by changing the base URL and API key. See the TextBee alternative page.

Who pays for the SMS?

Your mobile operator bills the SMS to your SIM, exactly like texts you send by hand. SMS Gora's plans pay for the gateway: the app, API, webhooks, dashboard and number of phones.

How fast are messages sent?

Usually within a few seconds. The phone checks in with Tekservix every few seconds while it has work and backs off when idle; with instant push switched on it wakes immediately. A short pause between texts (2.5 s by default, adjustable) keeps your SIM in good standing with the operator.

Why isn't the app on Google Play?

Google Play only allows SMS-sending apps that replace the phone's default messaging app. SMS Gora works alongside your normal SMS app instead, so we distribute it directly from tekservix.com. Android asks you once to allow installs from your browser. If Play Protect says the app was blocked, follow the install guide.

What happens when the phone is offline?

Messages wait in the queue and go out as soon as the phone reconnects. You can see each phone's last check-in, battery and queue in the dashboard, and get a device.offline webhook.

Is my data private?

SMS Gora is Tekservix's own service: messages and phone data are stored in your Tekservix account only and are never shared with other companies. Delete a phone or your messages any time.

What isn't allowed?

Spam, phishing, texting people who didn't agree to hear from you, and anything illegal. Operators can block SIMs that send spam, and we suspend phones that break these rules.
